In a concerning incident, the junta army’s convoy and an ambush fell victim to mine attacks in Myain Township. This development was reported on June 13th, casting a shadow over the region’s security situation.
According to an official from the Myain People’s Karen Armed Forces (PKAF), Tha Din news agency was informed that a mine attack had been executed on the Yautan and Kingyul areas, which are known to be under the control of the Myanmar terrorist army.
The first incident occurred on June 12th, around 8:00 a.m., when local defense forces launched an assault on the Tharekan Pyu Sawhti guard post. The post was responsible for protecting a military convoy that was traveling between Dinma village and Tharekan village. As a result of the attack, one policeman sustained serious injuries.
Later that day, around 3:00 p.m., the terrorist army convoy was once again targeted by mines in the same area between Dinma village and Tharekan village. This time, two soldiers were injured in the attack.
The coordinated assault was carried out by Myain Pakaf Battalion 1 – Company 1, with support from Company 2 (Galuda) of the Light Guerrilla Force and the KMDF forces. These joint efforts demonstrate a unified front against the terrorist army’s activities in the region.
