SHAN STATE: The Battalion Commander of Light Infantry Unit (579) Lieutenant Colonel was said to have been shot dead at the battle in northern Shan State by MNDAA and the Battalion Commander of Infantry Unit (69) Lieutenant Colonel was reportedly caught alive, as said by Lee Kyar Win, the spokesman of MNDAA.
On November 27, MNDAA and its alliances captured Khutan pagoda High Point, between Kyaukme and Lashio, KoKang Konegyan military base and Kyaukme checkpoint. Until the evening of November 27, the Northern Alliances have captured (180) Military Bases of the junta’s council including small and large bases.
Around 4 p.m. on November 27, MNDAA and Kokang district security force were said to have successfully captured the junta’s military base in Konegyan, Shinnkaing , in Kokang Shinnwang region. During the battle, 6 junta’s soldiers died and 8 guns were seized.
Moreover, the Battalion Commander of Infantry Unit (69) (Hsenwi) under No(16) Military Operation Command, Lieutenant Colonel who had fled to Shaukpatai region, Tarshwehtan group, Sheeshan region was said to have been caught alive.
Similarly, at 3:19 p.m. on November 27, MNDAA and TNLA had cooperated to attack the Kyaukme checkpoint where the junta’s forces stationed with drone and then, the members of revolutionary forces marched to launch the attack the junta’s base. The junta’s base was captured at 5:26 p.m. During the attack, the Battalion Commander of Light Infantry Unit (579) (Mong Hsat) Lieutenant Colonel was said to have been shot dead.
