RAKHINE STATE – It has been reported that Arakan Army (AA) captured the Maungdaw based Done Nyo border guard force which refused to surrender, during 27 hours, in Rakhine state.
AA conducted the attack at around 10 a.m. on November 16 and they managed to capture the camp completely at around 1 p.m. on November 17.
In the midst of the heavy rain, junta council’s heavy weapon reinforcement and airstrikes, AA conducted the camp capturing operation. During the battle, AA could confiscate 18 prisoners of war, 40 weapons along with the dead bodies of the junta council troops.
It was also stated in the statement that during the battle, there were a few casualties on the AA’s side and AA solemnly records and honours its comrades who led the battle and who performed to implement.
AA will continue to attack the junta council camps one by one which refused to surrender.
