MON STATE – The detonation attack at PNO office in Thaton that is set to be visited by the junta ministers, including the junta council’s Mon State Prime Minister Aung Kyi Thein, is expected to have caused junta casualties, stated the responsible person of Thaton Township People’s Defence Force (PDF).
The attack was reportedly conducted at the PNO office in Thaton Naung Kalar Village, Thaton Township around 4:45 a.m. on September 8 before the visit of the junta regime’s Border Affairs Minister, Mon State Prime Minister, Ethnic Affairs Minister, Pa’O Affairs Minister, and Karen Ethnic Affairs Minister.
“There was a planned visit to PNO office today (September 8). (Junta Council’s) Border Affairs Minister, Mon State Prime Minister, Ethnic Affairs Minister, Pa’O Affairs Minister, and Karen Ethnic Affairs Minister were due to visit, and so Thaton PDF set off a powerful mine. A large number of junta forces standing guard there were hit, but the exact number of casualties is still undetermined,” said the responsible person of Thaton Township PDF.
