SAGAING DIVISION-A person close to the People’s Defence Forces (PDF) said that the joint Defence Forces of Indaw Township attacked Meza Police Station in Indaw Township, upper Sagaing Division, at around 2:00 a.m. on June 11.
“There was a fight in the morning in Meza. It lasts from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. PDF went to Meza and attacked. There is no way to seize the camp. The junta forces had built the fences well,” he said.
There were no casualties on the side of the People’s Defence Forces during the attack, and the situation of the military junta soldiers is still unknown, he added.
After the Meza junta police station was attacked, the military junta troops fired at least 10 rounds of heavy weaponry from Indaw Township, and the weapon exploded in Meza Village, injuring a citizen.
Meza junta police station is 10 miles away from Indaw Township, and around 60 junta police and junta soldiers are stationed.
