SAGAING DIVISION – Local Revolutionary Forces are said to attack the junta troops for two consecutive days in Khin-U Township, Sagaing Division, resulting in casualties at the junta side.
On Thursday (August 31) evening, Village’s People Defence Force (PDF) carried out the landmine attack onto the junta’s military column with around 100 forces near Laung Shey Village while the junta forces had been launching military operation toward the villages of the southern of Khin-U Township according to the information from an official of Khin-U Township True News Broadcasting Team.
Due to the stated attack, two junta thugs were said to be dead and being eliminated by burning down their dead bodies inside one of the houses in the village later which their burnt body parts have been reportedly found inside the house.
“We found the burning without being taken off the bullet cartridges and two skulls as well,” an official of Khin-U True News Broadcasting Team said.
The mentioned junta’s military column reportedly slept in Laung Shey Village and resumed the military operation on the next day (September 01).
Local Revolutionary Forces declared that the coalition of Khin-U Township’s PDF, Regional PDF leaders, Village Defence Forces attacked with the landmines onto the stated junta’s column and the clashes have been engaged between them by exchanging small and heavy artilleries.
“The clash lasted over half an hour. There were many casualties at the junta side. We witnessed the injured junta thugs being carried out with litters,” one of the comrades involved in the battle said.
However, the junta thugs’ casualties could not be confirmed separately yet.
In addition, over 6,000 locals from the villages at the southern part of Khin-U Township: Laung Shey, Let Pan Hla, Ywar Than, Pauk Tone, Kyee Kan U and Yae Aye Kone are said to have fled away to safe places.
