BAGO DIVISION – Myint-U, the Pyu Saw Htee leader and the junta vice-administrator from Kine Kalay Village, Out Kine Village Tract, Oakpho Township, was shot dead on Thursday (July 6) at around 6:30 a.m., said an official of Thayarwaddy District Battalion – 3802.
Oakpho Guerrilla comrades carried out that operation. “We killed Myint-U at his house and shot his head four times. His family members were also there. He had been extorting the civilians in various ways. Our comrades successfully disengaged after the operation,” said the official.
Myint-U had been extorting money from gambling stations, illegal liquor shops, and those involved in illegal logging by collaborating with the regional police officer from Myo Ma Police Station. He also threatened civilians to repay bank loans, and that’s why PDF comrades killed him.
In addition, he always said that he would sacrifice his life for the junta council if needed and collected support for the junta forces from his family members and relatives. He always tortured civilians with the support of the regional police officer, said the resident.
The details of his death couldn’t be confirmed. On July 1, LPNPDF and alliances raided and attacked the gambling place and Zee Phyu Kone Police Station in Letpadan Township, Thayarwaddy District, killing three junta police, including the regional police officer, and two Pyu Saw Htees.
