KAREN STATE – It was reported that the terrorist junta army bombarded with its attacked helicopters and fired with machine guns over the surrounding areas of No.2 Friendship Gate in Myawaddy, where the fighting broke out since the morning of April 20, according to military news source and Thai media.
“The junta carried out airstrike attacks with fighter jets and attacked helicopters. At around 11:00 a.m., the junta’s attacked helicopters hovering around No.2 Friendship Gate and continuously bombarded and fired with machine guns. On the other hand, the junta’s fighter jets launched aerial bombings over outside Myawaddy Town,” said the military news source.
The displaced people living next to Moei River (or) Thaungyin River have been forced to flee to Thailand territory due to junta’s airstrike attacks.
“On April 20, at around 11:00 a.m., the atrocious junta launched airstrike attacks with fighter jets and attacked helicopters, forcing the civilians to flee Thailand territory,” said an aid worker.
