MAGWAY DIVISION- It is reported that the purchase of uniforms for the soldiers in the Seikphyu Bamati People’s Defense Force was made on credit, so the debt was paid off on May 1 with campaign-raised money.
Military equipment for 40 soldiers was purchased on credit and equipped the forces on April 24. The debt for the uniforms was paid from over 21 million kyats from the project “Support for similar uniform”.
“Priority was given to front-line soldiers. They were equipped with a credit system during the project and repaid with the money raised from the project,” said Comrade Michael, a member of Seikphyu Bamati Force.
A soldier’s uniform, long pants, Equipment, point shoes, a hat, and a belt were given to each member. He added that there was a total cost of 22 million kyats for 40 soldiers at a rate of 550,000 kyats per soldier.
He explained that equipping the soldiers who are fighting on the front lines with uniforms will help to boost their morale. If they are motivated, they will be able to work on their duties and other matters without delay, he added.
It is reported that in March 2023, uniforms were provided to 40 soldiers in the Seikphyu Bamati Army.
