SAGAING DIVISION – Local people reported that four civilians were killed and many houses were destroyed by junta bombings in Tamu Township and Kalay Township.
At around 2 a.m. on April 22, a junta jet bombed Ward No. 1 of Khampat in Tamu Township, killing three civilians and injuring at least ten. Similarly, in Kalay Township, the junta bombed Sawbwaryayshin Village twice, killing one civilian and injuring at least four.
“The (junta) plane bombed Ward No. 1 in Khampat. The bomb landed on a family and the son and daughter were killed on the spot while the parents were injured. Another civilian from a different household was also killed. A total of three people were killed in Khampat. Sawbwaryayshin Village is in Kalay Township. It is said that one was killed there,” said the local source.
It is reported that the junta council bombed Tamu Township and Kalay Township despite there not being any battles.
