TANINTHARYI DIVISION: Junta stationed camps in Dawei Township, Tanintharyi division were said to have been attacked with heavy artillery and resulted in heavy casualties of junta, as said by local revolutionary forces.
Junta soldiers who tried to station in the orchards between Maung Mae Shaung village and Zahar village, Dawei township at around 5 p.m. on May 12 were said to have been reconnoitred by drones and attacked with handmade heavy artillery such as 40 mm and 60 mm about 50 times, resulting in heavy casualties with the deaths of about 18 soldiers and several to be wounded.
The attack was made by the coalition of company (2) column, Dawei district Battalion (1) People Defence Army and Oakaw Column. The members of PDFs could retreat after the attack with no casualty.
Similarly, the police outpost under junta’s administration in Pakarri village, Dawei Township, Tanintharyi division was reportedly attacked with heavy artillery around 8 a.m. on May 14, as said by the responsible person from the Dawei Collective Column.
The police outpost was attacked with 60 mm ammunition by the Dawei Collective Column. The fascist soldiers and policemen from the police outpost, on the other hand, also fired back small artillery and heavy artillery. There was a reciprocal firing for about 10 minutes. The casualties of atrocious soldiers and policemen were in an attempt to verify and the members of PDFs could successfully retreat without any casualty.
