YANGON DIVISION- According to the residents, the military council forces are blocking and inspecting eight unexploded hand mines in Sanchaung and Shwe Paukkan Townships.
At 8:30 on May 16, in North Okka Township, a resident of Shwepaukkan said four hand-made bombs were found by the Junta’s council at the corner of Nyaung-ran Road and Bagan Road in Ward 21 of Shwe Paukkan.
“Those were found in the ditch next to the Township Post Office Road. The junta came and took the hand-made bombs made of water pipes. Nearby places were also checked,” he said.
A local resident said that military council troops and police found four unexploded hand-made bombs at four locations in Linloongtaung Ward, Sanchang Township, after five o’clock yesterday evening.
“Those bombs were planted near the traffic control booth on the central road, in front of the road transport authority office, near the Newday gas station. Unexploded bombs were confiscated by the army.”
“After they found an unexploded bomb, pedestrians and cars were inspected by the junta’s soldiers and police at the corner of Central Road and Bargayar Street,” the residents said.
