KARENNI STATE – Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) informed the public that the tempo of the revolution against the military dictatorship that has been going on for over 70 years in Karenni State will be raised.
KNPP mentioned this in its missive to the 75th Karenni Martyrs’ Day that falls on September 8.
Just as numerous heroes have emerged in the 75 years of arduous revolution, KNPP urged the revolutionary heroes of the current revolution to continue fighting till the goal of the revolution is achieved.
It was also stated in the missive that KNPP is working together with respective revolutionary forces for the over 200,000 people displaced by the violent killings of the junta council amidst ongoing conflicts; and to build the future federal democratic union.
The 75th Karenni Martyrs’ Day ceremony was held at the headquarters of Karenni Army (KA), attended by KNPP Executive Secretary 2, KA Adjutant General, KA Battalion 2 and 3, Karenni Forever Guerrilla Force, emergency rescue teams, Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) and several people. The fallen martyrs were saluted and delivered wreaths during the ceremony, stated the KA information department.
