BAGO DIVISION – The news and information officer from Pyay District People’s Defence Force (PDF) Battalion 3602 informed that junta-appointed administration officer Win Kyaing from Shwemyaung Village in Zeeoak Village Tract, Pyay Township was shot three times and eliminated.
It is said that the administration officer was shot twice in the back and once in the temple on April 23 around 10:30 a.m. near Phaungtin Village.
“It is as we said in the official notice. We are informing people that we started eliminating the junta pillars. We urge the administration officers, hundred household chiefs, and general administration clerks to join the people’s side on their own. For the rest, we will decisively carry out our missions,” said the news and information officer.
Win Kyaing was a hard-core supporter of the junta council’s USDP (Union Solidarity and Development Party) before the military coup and had caused difficulties for the people while serving as an administration officer for the junta regime, holding meetings for the conscription and hosting junta officers at his home.
Currently, it is said that his dead body has been collected by the junta council.
At present, junta council forces are said to be holding inspections at the Koethaung traffic point in Pyay and there have been reports of weapons, according to residents.
Residents added that there are conscriptions of soldiers for the junta council and forcible collection of people picked from their homes in the township and that the regional administration officers have been cooperating in those activities.
