MAGWAY & BAGO DIVISION – People Defence Army (PDA) Battalion 3602 stated that the junta’s Department of Defence Industries (Ka Pa Sa-19) fired heavy artillery towards the villages near Bago Yoma, located at the border of Magway Division and Bago Division and residents are said to flee fled.
On April 23, at around 7:00 a.m., Ka Pa Sa-19 released heavy artillery toward Ah Paing Village and surroundings located at the border of Aunglan and Paukkhaung townships without battles, resulting in at least three explosions.
“It seems the junta council shelling with heavy artillery targeting innocent civilians has intended to admit fear into innocent civilians and show their atrocities. As from our revolutionary forces, we have taken action in heed for not to impact any harm on civilians as much as we can while we have been carrying out to eradicate the military dictatorship,” an official of news and broadcasting from Battalion 3602 said.
Currently, locals are said to flee to safe places and damages situations are still under investigation.
“We would like to notify all the civilians not to stay in places where the junta forces’ station is located and to heed when the junta columns march,” an official of news and broadcasting continued.
In addition to the junta council’s shelling, there have been no engaged battles with revolutionary forces until now and the junta council’s activities have been reportedly monitored.
Similarly, local villagers from Bago Yoma at the border of Paukkhaung and Paungde townships have fled away from the villages due to the junta’s military column marching and rounding up recruits, as per the information from residents.
