CHIN STATE – The junta convoy, carrying 70 to 80 soldiers, that came to change duties was intercepted on Matupi – Hakha Road at 4:00 a.m. on Friday (October 27), killing two junta soldiers, stated Chinland Defence Force – Matupi (CDF-Matupi).
“I assume that the junta convoy was for changing duties from junta infantry battalion #140 to the district office. They were on their way to the district office when we intercepted and the clash occurred near the office,” said an official of CDF-Matupi.
It was reported that two junta soldiers were killed and five were injured during the attack.
There were also two fatalities on the junta side in a battle that took place near Ngahlaing Village and the district office on Matupi – Hakha Road on October 6.
