MANDALAY DIVISION: The junta’s forces who have stepped on the mine planted land by People Defence Force and they were also attacked with mines in Madaya, resulting in the death of 5 soldiers, as said by the responsible person of Madaya People Defence Force.
The junta forces were reportedly attacked with mines at the place, 3,000 feet from south of Black bridge, eastern bank of Chaungmagyi village, Madaya township by Madaya People Defence Force around 10:30 a.m. on July 9.
While the junta forces were resting on the mine planted land, mines were detonated, which caused the death of five soldiers, as said by the Madaya People Defence Force.
“The junta’s forces left from Myaungthit in the early morning. At least a soldier could be affected by the mine by the Local Defence Force. After being attacked with mines, the junta’s forces came into the Myaungthit monastery and were attacked with bombs dropped by drone by People Defence Force. The attack caused two soldiers to get wounded. After that they have split into three columns and were attacked with mine again,” said the Madaya People Defence Force.
The dead bodies of the soldiers were taken to Kyauktada village, as known by the information from the junta army.
However, the casualty of the junta’s forces could not be confirmed yet.
Since July 3, the junta’s forces have been deploying the military mission in the eastern region of Madaya Township and the battles have been broken out between the junta’s forces and the local People Defence Forces.
