AYEYARWADDY DIVISION – In Hinthada District, the Deputy General Manager of Myan Aung Township Oil Field and the military junta soldiers are reported to be working together to destroy the shops of the oil field pensioners and arrest the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) employees.
The deputy manager, Myo Min Soe, and the soldiers of the junta council have been dismantling the shops of the pensioners since last April, according to the non-CDM employees of the oil field.
“Officials from Myan Aung Oil Field are stealing and selling kerosene every night, together with the junta police. They threw the CDM employees out of the staff housings. They also have been destroying the shops recently. They are also forcing the abduction of those who have participated in CDM,” a person close to Myan Aung oil field said.
It is said that a person named Balagyi (aka Than Zaw), has been working together with junta administration officers and police to abduct the CDM staff of the oils field starting this June.
In May 2021, the oil field police and the security department in cooperation with the production department stole and sold Myan Aung Oil Land’s teak trees, Kerosene and Gasoline, according to an employee of Myan Aung Oil field.
