RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) continues to attack the junta infantry battalion – 552 in Buuthedaung Township, stated in a press release on March 25.
On February 24, the AA began attacking that battalion and is now accelerating their offensive. On March 20, AA comrades blocked and cleared the junta troops who fled from the Goat Pi junta camp, killing 12 of them about 300 meters from West Pyin (Ywar Pyat), Buuthedaung Township, and wounding over 10 junta troops, said AA.
During those attacks, AA comrades confiscated some weapons and ammunition and continue to attack the remaining junta soldiers.
The junta council’s inhumane behavior targets civilians, social places, and places not related to the battles as they lose their camps all over the country, according to AA. AA stated that the junta council must be held accountable for murdering civilians daily.
