BAGO DIVISION – The fierce fight have been happening between the anti-junta Resistance Fighters and the terrorist junta forces near Taw Wi Village in Nyaunglebin Township on Yangon – Mandalay Road, only a hundred miles away from Yangon City, since the afternoon of July 14, according to a local.
He said that the fighting started around 2:00 p.m., on July 14, near Taw Wi Village, where the Yangon-Mandalay railway passes and between the intersection of Pein Za Loke and Nyaunglebin, and is still going on at the reporting time.
“The fight started at around 2:00 p.m., on July 14. The battle is intense. It is still happening now. The casualties on both sides are still unknown because the battle is still going on. The atrocious junta forces are continuously firing heavy weapons,” he said.
He continued that the battlefield is a militarily strategic point between Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, as well as an area that can threaten the Yangon-Mandalay Highway.
At present, the terrorist junta soldiers were stationed at Taw Wi Village, and they launched artillery attacks with 120mm not only on the battleground but also on Kauk Mei Thu, Chon Inn, Yae Twin Gyi, In Kone and Inn Pa Yi villages, destroying some civilians’ houses, according to a local.
It was reported that most of the residents had been temporarily forced to flee from their homes due to those attacks.
On the morning of July 7, the junta convoy that was said to be carrying Lieutenant General Kyaw Swar Lin, Quartermaster General of junta army, was combated by the Revolutionary Forces.
