KACHIN STATE – The Revolutionary Forces reportedly combated the junta’s outpost in Kyaukgyi Village of Shwegu Township and seized a large amount of weapons and ammunition. The terrorist junta launched aerial bombings after its outpost was captured by Revolutionary Forces, according to an official of People Defence Force Shwegu (Shwegu PDF).
On September 1, at around 3:00 a.m., the joint Revolutionary Forces of Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and People’s Defence Force (PDF) combated the junta’s Kyaukgyi police station in Shwegu Township, and around 50 of terrorist junta and police forces stationing at the police station deserted their outpost and ran away. The joint Revolutionary Forces seized many weapons and ammunition in the camp and retreated. It was reported that an atrocious junta bombarded the battle ground, after the withdrawal of Revolutionary Forces.
“We (Revolutionary Forces) captured the junta’s Kyaukgyi police station, but we can’t station there. We carried out offensive attacks between 3:00 a.m., and 5:00 a.m. The terrorist junta forces deserted their outpost and ran away. We seized the many weapons and ammunition in the outpost, but the detailed list was unknown. We could not stay in the camp for a long time. We retreated after seizing the weapons and ammunition. The junta launched aerial bombardments, after we took all things and left the base,” said the official of Shwegu PDF.
The terrorist junta used fighter jets and Mi35 attacked helicopters for airstrike attacks and the residents near the battle ground had been forced to run away. The allied forces of KIA and PDF were able to retreat from the battlefield without being harmed.
There were just a few casualties on the junta side as the terrorist junta forces deserted their outpost and ran away during the capturing of the junta’s base. Similarly, there were encounters between the Revolutionary Forces and genocidal junta in the territory of KIA’s Battalion – 12 on the eastern part of Katha Township, and the junta suffered many casualties.
“A few junta dogs (military soldiers) killed in Kyaukgyi outpost attack as they withdrew and ran away. I don’t know exactly, but a rough data. The skirmishes break out in our Battalion – 12’s territory on the eastern part of Katha Township, and many junta dogs (military soldiers) were killed,” said the official of Shwegu PDF.
