SHAN STATE- The Pao National (PNLO/PNLA) and Taang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) sent messages stating that they will fight together with the Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP/SSA), which is a Shan ethnic armed force.
On the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Shan State Army (SSA), on April 24, the messages were sent by PNLO and TNLA.
PNO sends a message saluting the fallen Shan State Army’s soldiers and the Shan people who sacrificed their lives and possessions during the 60 years of the revolutionary journey.
The PNLA urges the people of Shan State, along with the entire people of Burma, to free themselves from the military dictatorship and to build a federal democratic union system that guarantees the right to self-determination and administration.
The Taang Army (PSLF/TNLA) also sent a message stating that SSPP/SSA is a brotherhood alliance that fought together to resolve the Burmese political crisis after 2010 and is also an organization that has helped them to strengthen again.
TNLA will continue to work with SSPP/SSA and the Shan ethnic groups, to be freed from oppressed lives and live peacefully and happily in the modern world, as stated in the congratulatory message.
The Shan National League for Democracy (SNLD) party also sent a message to celebrate the 60th anniversary of SSA, according to the statement of the Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP).
The SSPP was a group that held talks with the Military Council after the military coup. But on the other hand, it had some tension and fought against the military.
