BAGO DIVISION – Myint Soe, a leader of the junta subordinate Pyithusit militia who has been using the conscription law to enlist people in the military in Letpandan Township was eliminated and two hand grenades were confiscated off his body, reported an official from Letpandan Township based Shwedanmyay People’s Defence Force.
On April 20, revolutionary forces arrested Myint Soe from Kaitawsu Village in Letpandan Township and were interrogating him at the base of Yoma Ranges when he tried to run away, prompting the revolutionary forces to shoot at him and he was killed on the spot.
The dead Pyithusit militia leader had attacked a family in Kaitawsu Village with a sword, attended the Pyithusit militia training conducted by the junta council, and was a persistent sore for the civilians. He became an observation target after people reported that he was serving the junta regime, leading to the arrests of multiple people and also the forced conscription under the junta military service law.
Two hand grenades and a mobile phone containing communication records with the junta council were said to have been confiscated from his body.
