CHIN STATE – The Chin Defense Force (CDF) Mara announced that a battle between the CDF Mara and the junta’s council took place on July 8 at 2:20 p.m. in the CDF Mara controlled area of Lailinpi.
In that statement, four junta soldiers were killed during the battle and at least five were injured. The junta forces fired towards the residential area in the city with heavy weapons. It is said that due to the indiscriminate firing of heavy and small arms, one female resident of the town was killed and two houses were burnt to ashes.
According to CDF Mara, the fight broke out due to the military council forces threatened, committed gun violence, drunk and harassed the people in Lailinpi city.
In addition, the CDF has issued a warning that the fighting in Lailinpi may continue and residents should be cautious.
