CHIN STATE – If only the revolutionary forces had anti-aircraft weapons, they would be able to defeat the junta council, stated the official of Chinland Defense Force (Mindat Region).
The CDF commander said this after the battle against the junta council in Kyaukhtu Town, bordering Magway and Chin State, on June 26.
“We halted the attack or fell back when the junta jets came in and relaunched the attack when jets went back from the battle ground. Even if there is no anti-aircraft gun, our comrades dare and aim for the choppers or jets (with existing long-range weapons when they are flying low). I guarantee that we will be able to annihilate the junta regime if we had anti-aircraft weapons,” the CDF official said.
According to Chin Defense Force – Mindat, at least ten junta soldiers were killed during the Kyaukhtu Battle and then two junta fighter jets reportedly launched an aerial attack in the area.
While a junta convoy was advancing into Kyaukhtu Town last Monday (June 26), there had been an exchange of fire that lasted about an hour between the opposing forces.
There were at least ten junta causalities during the attack by Mindat CDF and the junta council dropped aerial bombs seven times from two jet fighters, stated the CDF (Mindat) official.
“If these jets were not there for backup and launched the aerial attack, the junta convoy carrying artilleries and rations could be confisticated,” he continued.
The main constraint in the revolution is the supply chain of artilleries and (modernized) firearms, but until now missions have been conducted till success using only what’s available, said the spokesperson.
Apart from a minor injury sustained by a CDF member during the junta aerial attack, other members were said to be safe. At least ten troops were killed on the junta side that also suffered several unverifiable destructions (during the Kyaukhtu battle).
