KACHIN STATE – An information officer of Kachin Independence Army (KIA), Colonel Nawbu stated that KIA could shoot down and hit the junta council’s Mi35 fighter jet, which was heading Aung Myay 1 and Aung Myay 2, Waingmaw Township, Kachin State for dropping bombs on Monday (March 11) evening according to the information from front line news source. Whether the fighter crashed or not is said to be still under investigation.
“We shot down a fighter jet coming for bomb attack onto Aung Myay 1 and Aung Myay 2. We could confirm the shot and hit. We are still under investigation to confirm whether the fighter jet crashed or not,” Colonel Nawbu said.
In addition, the photo of private plane with smoke near Myitkyina airport which has been spreading on social media currently is said to be not the photo of crashed fighter jet on Monday 11 and verified as old photos. Photos evidence related to the current shot down Mi35 fighter jet cannot be received till now.
“The photo of private plane with smoke was leaking out for long time. That was not the photo of fighter jet that we shot down Today (March 11),” Colonel Nawbu explained.
