KAREN STATE – Many junta soldiers were reportedly killed during the occupation of Light Infantry Battalion (LIB)-355 military camp based in Thingannyinaung, Myawaddy. The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) headquarters reported that 140 weapons, including machine guns, RPGs, and a large amount of ammunition were seized.
At 10:19 a.m. on March 7, the KNLA Brigade-6 led a revolutionary joint forces column and attacked the LIB-355 camp under the 12th Battalion of the Military Council based in Thingannyinaung town. It is reported that Allied Forces captured the military camp at around 6:45 p.m.
During the occupation of the camp, 6 military vehicles, 127 various small arms (including NATO machine guns), 13 launchers of 60 mm and 81 mm heavy weapons, ammunition of various weapons, and various accessories and military equipment were confiscated. Many members of the military council were reportedly killed and injured.
