SHAN STATE- According to the local sources of information, the PNO militia, the junta’s associates have been collecting the compulsory comrades from the villages in Southern Inlay, located in Southern Shan State.
According to current statistics, 15 people from Htee Yee village, 7 people from Hti Han Htar village, 5 from Aung Chan Thar village, 11 from Hi Yan village, and 10 from San Kar Lwe Khaw village were included in this collection made by PNO.
A local said, “There is a collection of 8.5 lakhs from every household. Youths do not want to go. People from Pao villages drew lots for this issue. As it is mandatory, individuals who can go are hired with money. Take care of yourself in every matter and move to a safer place in time if there is a chance, youths in Inlay.”
The local revolutionary forces stated that the PNO militia has officially cooperated with the junta military and has been defending the revolutionary forces alongside the collection of human resources for the junta.
Recently, the local public organizations have intensely objected to PNO which pulls the local innocent civilians into battle by force, makes compulsory comrade collection, and takes money for buying weapons.
PNO seeks human resources, while ammunition is provided by the junta military. The resident in Nyaung Shwe says, “Approximately 200 people have been abducted in Southern Inlay.”
The military junta arranged an armament ceremony for the PNO militia in the Eastern Division Military headquarters in Taunggyi on February 17th.
