MYANMAR – It has been reported that Burma Refugee Committee Kabaw valley (BRCK) has urged the India government to consent Myanmar refugees who are currently in India to continue living in India.
BRCK urged like this while the Manipur state government is planning to deport the Myanmar refugees who are currently in India.
On February 27, Manipur state government sent back 259 refugees who have been detained for living illegally.
At the moment, 6487 Myanmar refugees who have lived illegally in Manipur state, have been detained in the temporary detention centres. The Manipur state government is currently preparing to deport Myanmar refugees.
