MYANMAR – In Mon State, the terrorist junta checkpoint at Muppalin intersection in Kyaikhto Township was attacked by drones and heavy weapons which resulted in the death of six junta soldiers, according to Kyaikhto Revolution Force (KRF).
On February 23 around 11 a.m., the checkpoint at Muppalin intersection stationed by a combined force of terrorist soldiers and police was attacked by revolutionary forces using drones, 40 mm and 60 mm mortars, killing three junta soldiers on the spot and three more were reported to have died on the way to the hospital.
In addition, three more soldiers were said to have been seriously wounded while a nearby vendor was lightly wounded in the shoulder. KRF apologized for the injury of the vendor and appealed the public to avoid staying close to or doing business with junta forces.
The attack was said to have been done in cooperation by KRF and Kyaikhto Township People’s Defence Organisation and it is informed that the revolutionary forces were able to return without harm.
KRF stated that it will continue to fight till military dictatorship is eradicated, protect the lives and properties of the people and won’t do any attacks that would harm the people.
Similarly on February 23 around 11:30 a.m., the sniper team and Company 1 of Pyay District People’s Defence Force (PPDF) Battalion 3601 attacked the junta column at Htanpunkwin, located to the south of Natyaytwin Village, to the west of Letpankhon Village in Thitpote Village Tract, Paungde Township, Pyay District, Bago Division, killing one junta soldier and injuring another, informed the information officer of PPDF Battalion 3601.
The junta council is said to have burned the body of the dead soldier together with the houses in Letpankhon Village and even though the junta forces fired various weapons at the revolutionary forces, the members of the PDF are unharmed.
