SAGAING DIVISION – It has been reported that a woman from Alal Kyun Village (a base of junta-backed Pyu Saw Htee militia) in Kani Township, Sagaing Division, ran away with her two children and took refuge under Kyauk Longyi People’s Defence Force (KLG PDF).
The 35-year-old woman from Alal Kyun Village ran away to KLG PDF with her two children on May 5 morning.
“She brought her two children, pretending to be herding the cattle, and came out after contacting us first,” said the information officer of Kyauk Long Kyi People’s Defence Force (KLG PDF).
Her husband is currently working in Thailand, and they ran away as three of them were left in the village.
According to KLG PDF, the woman revealed that the junta council army and Pyu Saw Htee thugs were abusing the villagers in Alal Kyun Village.
After the coup d’état, the junta troops firmly stationed in Alal Kyun Village, which became known as a Pyu Saw Htee village. The junta army is still stationed in the village. The joint People’s Defence Forces have frequently attacked the junta troops stationed in Alal Kyun Village.
