YANGON DIVISION -The residents of Nwe Aye Ward, Dawbon Township said that they received notice letter to move out within one month from junta and municipal staffs.
Junta, municipal and Ward’s administration group said that the place near Thuwunna bridge, besides the entrance of stone grinding mill, Ayeyarwon road, Nwe Aye Ward, Dawbon Township, is owned by Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC).
“There were 57 houses. We lived here for 27 years. Please help us if possible. The people living there only earn daily wages. The junta soldiers and municipal officers came and gave notice letters to forcefully move out,” said local people.
The residents also said that houses on this land have to be removed during May 8 to June 6, according to Yangon City Municipal Law section 50 and 51.
