KAREN STATE – The Karen Peace Support Network announced that civilians were killed and injured due to an airstrike by the military council in Hpapun district of the Karen National Union (KNU).
It was stated that four villagers were killed and six were injured in the junta airstrike on September 7 in Dweiloe Township, Hpapun District.
The KNU central bureau also released the news of the air attack in Hpapun District of Brigade 5 area, stating that on September 7, the military council army attacked both Tethu Khie and Lemupalo Villages in Luthaw Township.
As a result of the bombings, one civilian was injured, homes were destroyed and some domestic animals were killed.
Photographs of the damages caused by the junta council’s airstrike were also published along the news release by KNU.
