KAREN STATE – The Allied Revolutionary Forces reportedly combated and acquired junta’s Kawt Bein police station in Kawkareik and seized weapons and ammunition. The junta launched airstrike attacks there and the fighting continued, according to the spokesperson of New Mon State Party – NMSP (Anti-Dictatorship).
Mon and Karen Allied Revolutionary Forces carried out offensive attacks and captured junta’s police station in Kawt Bein Village on March 24, and the fighting was ongoing until March 25, according to NMSP (AD).
“The police station was seized. The junta were launching aerial bombings. We seized about 10 weapons. We heard that some junta forces surrendered, but the clashes were ongoing,” said a spokesperson of NMSP (AD).
The mission was reportedly carried out by New Mon State Party – NMSP (Anti-Dictatorship), Mon Liberation Army, Albino Tiger Column of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) under Karen National Union (KNU) and Galon Column.
