THAILAND – Aids for Myanmar refugee had been reportedly delivered through the No. 2 Friendship Bridge at the Thai-Myanmar border on March 25 morning.
Among the aid sent by the Thai Red Cross to Karen State, necessities such as rice, food and emergency kits were said to be included.
The attendees of the ceremony were from the Thai Red Cross Society, Officials from the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the General Administration Department under the Military Council in Karen State respectively.
More than 4,000 units of aid sent will be distributed to IDPs from 3 villages within the KNU Brigade 7.
According to political activists in Thailand, since the military council has taken over the program, they would watch and monitor whether actual distributions to the refugees were provided.
