SAGAING DIVISION – The junta council recklessly fired heavy artillery shells at Alel Taw San Pya Village in Tigyaing Township on Saturday (July 29) at 11 a.m., wounding four civilians, and they are in critical condition.
The junta forces fired artillery shells while rice was being delivered inside the monastery. “The junta troops fired at least ten heavy artillery shells while rice was being delivered for the civilians affected by the junta arson attack. The shells didn’t directly hit the place where rice was delivered, but the pieces wounded the civilians,” said an eyewitness.
“The victims are Ms. Aye, 48, Ms. Khin San Lin, over 40, Ms. Nwet Mya, over 40, and Mr. Aung Win, over 50,” the eyewitness added.
The civilians from Alel Taw San Pya Village are fleeing because the junta council soldiers fired heavy artillery shells, and they are currently stationed at Alel Taw Village.
