SHAN STATE – The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) News and Information Department informed that a battle occurred again between TNLA and the Military Council troops in Pan Moon Village, Lashio Township, northern Shan State on May 20.
It’s said that a battle occurred because junta infantry battalion (504) under the Military Council launched an offensive attack towards TNLA Brigade (6th) military area near Pan Moon Village in Lashio Township.
The battle started at 4:00 p.m. and lasted for more than 2 hours. It was not mentioned whether there were any casualties.
It is reported that the military council side retreated and the battle situation was calm.
TNLA announced that the military council troops had opened fire with large and small weapons from the communication hill in Kutkai without any fighting on May 18.
It is said that the junta army has been conducting military activities since May 15.
The TNLA and the Military Council Army clashed in Kyaukme Township in February due to the military council troops launching an offensive attack. TNLA has informed that 15 members of the military council were killed in the battle and weapons and ammunition were confiscated.
