TANINTHARYI DIVISION – It was reported that the skirmish occurred between the Resistance Fighters and the atrocious junta force around Na Khan Taw Village in Launglon Township, a mile away on the other side of the river from Dawei City on the afternoon of July 14, according to the locals.
Since around 12:00 p.m., on July 14, the encounter had been happening between the anti-junta Resistance Fighters and the murderous junta forces and the sound of explosions had occurred many times.
“The explosions were roaring all the way to Dawei City. There were about 6 explosions. I could still hear it until about half an hour ago,” said a resident of Dawei at around 1:45 p.m., on July 14.
The details of the fighting were not yet known.
Since the morning of July 12, the terrorist junta had carried out offensive attacks on the surrounding areas of the Na Khan Taw Village and stationed on the hills at the village, and launched artillery attacks.
A 16-year-old girl was reportedly killed by the junta’s mortar shells.
It was reported that the residents of Na Khan Taw, Kha Maung Taung and Taung Min Pyaung villages have been forced to flee from their homes, as soon as the fascist junta column invaded their villages.
