KARENNI STATE – Mr. Naing Naing, in charge of the Dove KK group, said that they went to assist with the needs of the children at the Kout Tong School for internally displaced people near Nang Mekong Village in Demoso on August 29.
He said that he supported teaching aids and stationery, bread and oats, singing, dancing, tarpaulins to repair the school building for the children of the Kout Tong School and feminine hygiene products for young women, and health care for the internally displaced people.
“Their main needs are concerning health and food. What they need most is the children’s education. Currently, we provide children’s school health and education, and medical treatment for the elderly,” he explained.
It’s been reported that there are 88 students from elementary to 8th grade, attending the school, taught by 13 volunteer teachers.
Due to transportation difficulties, there are few donors who come to donate to the school, and the children are in need of many items including clothes.
Dove KK Group has been providing education and health care to the IDP on behalf of the donors inside the country and abroad.
