SHAN STATE (NORTH) – The junta check posts at the entrance and outskirts of Theinni Town are controlled by the revolutionary alliances and the junta soldiers and police have fled their offices and are gathering in battalion bases, preparing for defense battles, according to the locals and military sources.
Since October 27, the junta soldiers from the camps and bases from around the Theinni Town retreated to the downtown, while facing numerous casualties, which led to clashes in the town. Currently, junta police and soldiers from junta police station, Population and Immigration office and General office are reuniting with the battalions.
“The junta columns from the entrance and outskirts of town are reuniting. The junta forces from police station, offices are retreating and reinforcing with the battalions. The battle started from October 26 till now,” said a source.
Since the battle continues for three days, there is less traffic in and out of the city and people are worried, there were difficulties and not easy to escape and reciprocal firing have been occurring for three days, said the locals from Theinni town.
