MYANMAR – The Three Brotherhood Alliance announced on Sunday night (January 28) that they have strategically surrounded several cities and enemy bases yet to be captured.
They mentioned the border trade city of Muse in northern Shan State as an example of surrounded cities, adding that several cities in northern Shan State and Rakhine State have been besieged.
In addition the Brotherhood Alliance also informed that even though there has been a temporary ceasefire in northern Shan State starting the 10th and 11th of this month, they have been working on what needs to be done without wasting a single minute for the eradication of the military dictatorship.
It is said that the junta council reluctantly turned over between 36,000 and 40,000 criminals that have been running online scams (zhàpiàn) at the placed controlled by the junta council and its subordinates in Laukkaing City during Operation 1027 to the Chinese authorities under military and political pressures. Meanwhile, the Brotherhood Alliance stated that they have turned over around 3,000 of those criminals safely to the Chinese authorities.
However, the alliance announced that the junta council has yet to turn over the ringleaders of the zhàpiàn operations that are wanted by China, protecting them instead.
It was also mentioned in the statement that over 6,000 junta soldiers and military family members were spared their lives during the three months of the operation.
During the three months long Operation 1027, the Three Brotherhood Alliance successfully captured over 20 cities and towns in Shan State, Rakhine State and Chin State.
