AYEYARWADDY DIVISION- has been reported by locals that the junta forced some middle-aged civilians to wear auxiliary firefighters’ uniforms and to arm weapons while they (junta troops) were doing patrol at night.
They also added that junta troops were also doing that in the wards of Eainmae Township and near the Eainmae-Myaungmya road while they were doing patrol.
A local from the No. 5 ward that they forced to patrol some middle-aged civilians and to wear auxiliary firefighters’ uniforms. We saw them on Eainmae-Myaungmya Road. They may be used by the people who were forced to attend the Pyithusit course on previous days.
It has been known from close persons of administration members that it was directed at a meeting to organize 30 graduated persons from the Pyithusit course and the ward’s administration group to use for patrol by forcing them to wear auxiliary firefighters’ uniforms since September 15.
A man who lived in the No. 2 ward said that the head of the township’s administrator called a meeting. The main topic was to use graduates of the Pyithusit course while patrolling. And he said not to use the army’s uniforms and to use auxiliary firefighters’ uniforms. They gave two thousand per night. They were about 30.
In the last week of August, the administration group made a list of 30 young and middle-aged men and sent them to the Pyusawhtee (Pyithusit) course at Eainmae Township.
