MAGWAY DIVISION- According to Daung Thway Ni Guerrilla Force YSO, a bomb was placed on the junta council gate located next to the Pakokku-Yesagyo road near Kyauk Hlaygar village at past 10:00 a.m. on July 7.
He said that as there were more than 10 junta soldiers who were extorting money from passers-by at that gate, they attacked them with a 60mm bomb with a drone.
“That gate has been open for about 11 months and they were stationing there. The bomb exploded near the gate. It is still unknown if there were any casualties or not. But, shortly after the bomb was dropped, small arms were fired,” said U Myo, spokesperson from the Daung Thway Ni Guerrilla Unit YSO.
In addition, the junta soldiers who were at that gate are from Light infantry battalion 101, 256 and 258 of junta council based in Yesagyo. “The main reason to attack was to let the junta council troops know that we have not forgotten 7th July,” said U Myo.
The attack was jointly carried out by Urban Underground Revolution Force-YSO, Battalion No. (1) Battalion of Myingyan District, 27 revolution force, Myanmar Royal Dragon Army (MRDA) Pale, Myingyan District Drone Strike (MDDS), Daung Thway Ni Guerrilla Force YSO, Yesagyo Revolution Group (YRG) and Shar Htoo Waw Technical Group.
