AYEYARWADDY DIVISION – Locals reported that the junta troops sealed off three houses in Bogalay Township last Friday (June 9), allegedly associated with revolutionary activists.
According to the locals, one house is owned by a detainee who was charged with supporting the People’s Defence Forces, and the other two were wanted persons by the junta regime on the flee.
“If they didn’t find the wanted persons, they always seal off the houses and properties,” said a local.
The two-story building at No.3 Quarter which is owned by a man charged under section 52 (A), a house on 10th street in No.9 Quarter owned by a wanted woman, and a cabin owned by a man from Tharpaung Village Tract in Bogalay Township were reportedly sealed off, stated a person close to the Police Force.
“The junta affiliates and police forced the family members residing at the place to move out and threatened that they would seal off more houses belonging to opposing forces,” stated a resident.
Almost twenty houses in Bogalay Township, belonging to the alleged detainees and wanted persons for supporting PDFs and participating in protests during the Spring Revolution against the junta regime, have been sealed off.
