MYANMAR – In memory of Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi’s 78th birthday, Director Ko Pauk has informed that “Wai Myae Hnin Si” (The Everlasting Rose), a poem by Activist Mr. Min Ko Naing, was turned into a song.
The poem “The Everlasting Rose” was written in honor of Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi’s birthday, by Mr. Min Ko Naing on June 19, 2016. Ko Pauk added the melody and the song is sung by actor Min Maw Kun.
“The song was written in a 10-foot-wide room of a friend during my time running from the junta regime in Yangon in May, 2021 to honor Amay Su,” said Ko Pauk about the memory of creating the song.
On June 15th, the lyrics video of this song was posted on Ko Pack’s YouTube channel, and the director informed that the music video will be available to watch on Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi’s birthday.
