MANDALAY DIVISION – The Immigration office in Hman Tan Yat, Amarapura Township, Mandalay was attacked with a bomb on Friday night (May 5), and three people, including the deputy chief of staff, were injured. The junta council said that at around 6:00 p.m. on Friday night, two men on motorcycles threw a bomb into the immigration office.
It is reported that the deputy chief of staff and two employees of immigration office were injured in the blast. All three injured are women. The junta side accused the two motorcycle riders who threw the bomb of being members of the PDF.
Photos released by the junta council show that the roof of the office was blown open by the explosion.
