On March 22 around 8 p.m., junta Sergeant Myint Oo (58) from Tanai infantry battalion 86 was reportedly captured while on a walk in civilian clothes.
“He has been in monk robes and also in civilian clothes as he transversed around Natmauk, collecting information. We only found out that he was under the junta council after we checked with him while pretending to be junta forces following a tip off,” said Bo. Aung Din, the in charge of Natmauk Galon PDF.
Only one mobile was seized during the arrest and it is said that the data on the phone has been wiped out.
It has reportedly been over two years since that junta sergeant lived alone at Mhanchay Mountain near Natmauk while collecting information on the PDF and he is said to be in constant contact with a junta officer taking charge of security in Natmauk.
