MON STATE – According to local residents, there were casualties on both sides during the clash with the Kin Moon Chaung area police station in the Kin Moon Chaung village, Kyeikhto Township.
The attack on the police station in the Kim Moon Chaung, where the Military Council troops are stationed, was carried out on the 22nd of October, at around 5:00 a.m., by the joint forces of the Karen National Liberation Army, KNLA, and the PDF forces.
Due to the attack, both sides fought for almost 40 minutes, and the junta council was continuously resisted with heavy weapons, the locals said.
According to local residents, there were casualties on both sides on the attack, and the exact number is unknown.
The Junta Army’s lobby Telegram accounts have written that 5 KNLA and PDF comrades were killed in the attack on the police station.
The officials of the Karen National Union KNU Thaton district as well as the PDF in charge of Thaton district were contacted about the incident, but they have not been contacted so far.
The police station in the Kin Moon Chaung area was attacked at least 6 times during the coup, and both sides were injured and some of the police station buildings were damaged by fire.
