BAGO DIVISION – An official of Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802 and a member of People’s Defence Force (PDF) from Minhla Township reported that a car smuggling coals from the Bago Yoma in collusion with the junta regime was seized and destroyed and the two Pyu Saw Htee (junta-backed militia) were also eliminated.
Two Pyu militants, Chit Mhwae and Kaung San, close followers of junta Seargent Khin Maung Kyi from junta infantry battalion 1 based in Minhla were reportedly shot near Kharchintaung on the Seinkantlant – Myochaung Road crossing the Bago Yoma Range in Minhla Township at around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday (July 19) and their Faw truck loaded with smuggled coal was also burned and destroyed.
“The brains of that smuggling is that junta dog (soldier) Kyaw Thura from Township Administration Office. He told the drivers that he would give them security and sent Khin Maung Kyi to them but Khin Maung Kyi only followed them from behind on a motorcycle,” explained the official of Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802.
The official continued that the Pyu smugglers came into the Bago Yoma in four trucks to smuggle coal but only one truck was found at the time of the operation while the remaining three vehicles, along with the drivers and people on board are missing.
The dead bodies of the two Pyu thugs were said to be carried away to Minhla in junta vehicles and has arrived at the hospital mortuary by that night, according to locals.
“Those two that were killed were Pyu thugs in cahoots with the junta council. Junta soldiers came and carried their bodies overnight. They brought along abducted civilians as human shields so we didn’t manage to pull off an attack,” said a member of Minhla Township PDF.
The two Pyu thugs that were killed, Chit Mhwae and Kaung San are said to be the trusted lackeys of junta Seargent Khin Maung Kyi from infantry battalion 1 and they were said to have been in charge of transportation for the junta troops in the Bago Yoma. In addition, they had enthusiastically guided the junta soldiers searching for PDF bases in the Bago Yoma and had been determined as strong junta pillars for elimination, stated Company 5 of Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802.
“As our team has the duty to protect the people and to eradicate the junta council and also to reserve and protect the Bago Yoma, we carried out this operation after issuing an initial warning,” stated the battalion.
Company 5 of Tharyarwaddy District PDF Battalion 3802 released the video recording of the dead Pyu smugglers and the destroyed truck on their telegram channel.
People’s Defence Force has been conducting inspections on the road connecting Minhla Township in western Bago Division and Kyauktagar Township in eastern Bago Division, across the Bago Yoma, including the Seinkantlant – Myochaung Road starting July 17 to claim control of territory.
Tharyarwaddy District PDF Battalion 3802 of No. 2 Military Sub-region has also warned the public to stay away from and avoid traveling with the junta forces as necessary military operations have begun on the road.
