MANDALAY DIVISION- Singu Township People’s Defense Forces reported that two people, including a 12-year-old minor, were injured by the junta’s three-drone airstrike on Kyaruyin village in Singu Township in Mandalay Division on August 28 at around 1:00 p.m.
According to reports, the junta council forces and Pyu Saw Htee militia used three drones and five 60mm bombs to attack the over 150 households in Kyaruyin village three times.
Mr. Aung Htike, in charge of Singu Township People’s Defense Force, said, “The first drone dropped a bomb. The second drone dropped one later. None of the bombs exploded. The third drone dropped three bombs at the same time. It exploded in a courtyard, injuring two people.”
The two injured are a twelve-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man, with the girl suffering head injuries and being in critical condition. The man suffered non-critical injuries and received medical attention from the People’s Defense Team.
The Singu Township People’s Defense Team said that the Kyruyin village was once a village where Pyu Saw Htee leaders lived at the time of the coup, and that the junta and Pyu forces have attacked the village since it was attacked and taken over by resistance forces in 2022.
